MUSICAL – Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence… and special powers! She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!

Ticket Policies
All sales are final. Please double-check the event date(s) selected. No refunds or exchanges.
All patrons, including children, must have their own ticket. Vernal Theatre: LIVE cannot permit lap sitters.
All seating is assigned. Purchased ticket is good only for the date and seat specified on the ticket.
Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Patrons arriving after the start of the performance will be seated at the discretion of management. Late-comers may have their seats reassigned.
Shows begin at 7pm for all evening performances, 2pm for matinees (where applicable).
THERE ARE TWO CASTS FOR THIS PRODUCTION. Make sure you purchase tickets to the correct performance if you have a cast member you specifically want to see.
YELLOW CAST performs Wed PM, Fri PM and Sat AFT.
PURPLE CAST performs Thu PM, Fri AFT and Sat PM.

To those who are on the list below: We are so excited to work with you all. Remember the MANDATORY Parent Meeting Monday, June 22 beginning promptly at 6:30pm with the first readthrough immediately following at 7pm. A parent/guardian MUST be in attendance for every student. The doors will open at 6:15pm. The participation fee is DUE at the meeting.
NOTE: Some boys have been single cast for this production. If your student can NOT be single cast, please email the theatre ASAP so we can make arrangements.
